The injuries have definitely been a problem for the New York Yankees throughout this season, but the bullpen has been the biggest problem throughout the entire season.

The Yankees' bullpen just hasn't been able to get outs at the level that everybody's expecting them to, and that was the case once again on Monday night, even in a win against the Toronto Blue Jays . David Bednar, who gave up three earned runs against the New York Mets on Sunday, allowing the Mets to tie the game and eventually win it in extra innings, allowed another run after walking two against the Blue Jays on Monday night. There's no doubt that the Yankees are going to have to improve in the bullpen at the trade deadline.

In the meantime, it doesn't sound like too much of a problem for players on the roster, including slugger Aaron Judge, who had good things to say about his bullpen despite all of the struggles that it has had this season. “Not at all,” Judge said, H/T Heavy. “I don’t know, we’ve had quite a few guys coming in in some big spots for us…I’ve got a lot of confidence in the guys, especially in the back end,” Judge said.

Judge sticking up for his guys doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the Yankees captain has done nothing but say the right things for a lot of his career. Even if he isn't happy with some of the decisions the Yankees are making or how certain guys are playing, he hasn't been one to come out and make that known. Frankly, there have been times when Judge probably should come out and say that he would like to see the team make some additions, and this is one of them, as the bullpen just has to be better.
