Rocker, Rangers Rattle Rockies 10-0

•Yahoo Sports

After Tyler Alexander worked the first inning, Kumar Rocker was incredible as Texas Rangers dominate Colorado Rockies.

Texas Rangers manager Skip Schumaker thought he'd change up the pitching situation on Tuesday night at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies . Consider the decision one of the best so far this season. Tyler Alexander worked a clean first inning, then Kumar Rocker stepped in and went 7 2/3 innings of three-hit ball as the Rangers simply dominated the Rockies 10-0.

Rocker is now 2-4 this season as he walked three and struck out seven. He even got into the ninth inning before Jalen Beeks came on to get the final out. Joc Pederson came into the game as a pinch-hitter for Andrew McCutchen and went 4-for-5 with an RBI.

Brandon Nimmo and Ezequiel Duran had three hits apiece for the Rangers, who are now 23-25 this season and in second place in the American League West Division. Duran had four RBIs and Nimmo contributed three RBIs as the Rangers' offense clicked for 16 hits. After a scoreless first from the opener, Kumar Rocker fired 7.
