Knicks make largest playoff 4Q comeback win since 2015 Warriors
The New York Knicks made history Tuesday night, putting together the largest fourth quarter comeback playoff win since the Warriors in 2015.
The Eastern Conference Finals began Tuesday night after a thrilling double overtime game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs Monday. After three quarters, the Cleveland Cavaliers looked firmly in control, holding a 14-point lead heading into the fourth. However, Jalen Brunson and New York stormed back in the final frame, forcing overtime.
In the extra period, the Knicks held the Cavaliers to just three points, sailing to an eventual 115-104 victory after trailing by 22 points earlier in the game. This comeback win marked the largest fourth-quarter comeback win in the playoffs since the Golden State Warriors came back from down 20 against the New Orleans Pelicans in 2015. That game also went to overtime after the Warriors outscored New Orleans 39-19 in the final period.
Stephen Curry led the way with 40 points, nine assists and five rebounds, while his backcourt mate Klay Thompson posted 28 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Golden State would go on to win Game 4 and sweep the series. This article originally appeared on Warriors Wire: Knicks make largest playoff 4Q comeback win vs.
