The final two rounds of the 54-hole tournament were played Tuesday due to a forecast of inclement weather for Wednesday. The top five finishers — Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee-Chattanooga, North Carolina and Tennessee — are set to advance to the NCAA Division I Championship (May 29-June 3). UNM will miss the national championship for the first time since 2022 after finishing in 11th in a field of 14.
Johnnie Clark finished 2 over on the week to lead the Lobos, recording UNM’s only two rounds under par. The junior Oklahoma State transfer carded an even-par 72 in the second round and a 3-under-par 69 in the third to finish in a tie for 26th place on the individual leaderboard. Wyatt Provence finished the regional at 6 over while Emil Albers concluded the week at 8 over.
