Oregon Ducks offer scholarship to son of running back legend
The Oregon Ducks have extending a scholarship offer to Legarrette Blount Jr., the son of one of the most infamous Ducks of the 21st century.
When it comes to name value in the Oregon Ducks football program, there are few who have stood as tall over the decades as former running back Legarrett Blount. Not only did he have a productive โ and eventful โ career in Eugene, but he also went on to have one of the most successful NFL careers of any former Duck, winning a trio of Super Bowls. And now, Dan Lanning and the Ducks are looking to keep it in the family.
On Monday night, it came out that Oregon had officially offered a scholarship to Legarrette Blount Jr. , a 5-foot-11 athlete in the 2028 class. Since Blount Jr.
is still finishing up his sophomore year, he is not yet rated by 247Sports, but he is rated a 3-star safety by Rivals. After a great conversation with @RashaadSamples i am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Oregon๐ฆ #agtg @CoachJonRoberts @coachJArtis @LG_Blount @MP_PrideFB @angxfoster pic. twitter.

Of course, there is still a long way to go before he signs in December of 2027, so we may see interest start to grow, especially now that the Ducks are involved.
