This time, though, the Arizona Diamondbacks ' superstar didn't have to stay stopped at third base. Instead, the relay throw hit Carroll in his head -- which inconveniently had already lost his batting helmet while sprinting around the bases. So the ball rolled away and Carroll trotted home, his head not feeling very good about it.

They aren't planning on the ball deflecting off Carroll's head. It's almost as if it's a next-level play from Carroll, although clearly this wasn't intentional. It just happens to work out very nicely for the Diamondbacks.
