Selected by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Felton played a limited but memorable role for the team over two seasons, scoring two touchdowns including this electric play against the Texans . Now, his journey comes full circle as he joins the organization's player development staff. In an emotional official statement , Felton made it clear that his decision to step away from playing was driven by a deeper purpose, rather than injury or a lack of passion.
He emphasized the intense sacrifices required by the game, noting that true fulfillment comes from serving others. "I'm retiring because I know there's a football player out there who needs me," Felton said. "I'm retiring from professional football to take a role in Player Development with the Cleveland Browns.
This is not the end of my football life. This is my evolution. " Felton reflected on the realities of entering the league, recalling how he was handed a 400-page playbook and an overwhelming set of responsibilities with little investment in his growth as an individual.
