Mavericks split with head coach Jason Kidd after 5 seasons
The Mavericks will now enter next season with a new head coach, team president and general manager.
Jason Kidd’s run with the Dallas Mavericks is over. The Mavericks announced on Tuesday night that they have mutually parted ways with their head coach after five seasons. We have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Jason Kidd.

Kidd oversaw the Mavericks’ run to the NBA Finals in 2024 alongside star Luka Dončić, but the team has struggled ever since the shocking deal that sent Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers.
