Piketon, Adena stars share SVC softball player of the year honors
Piketon's Aubrey Heath and Adena's Marly Halcomb are SVC Co-Players of the Year, with Piketon's Mark Blakeman named Coach of the Year.
CHILLIOCTHE — The Scioto Valley Conference handed out its all-league softball awards, and Piketon’s Aubrey Heath and Adena’s Marly Halcomb are the SVC Co-Players of the Year. Heath, a junior, has a . 543 batting average, has 51 hits, 30 RBIs, and 11 home runs, as well as 28 stolen bases.
Halcomb, also a junior, has a . 556 batting average, has 55 hits, 34 RBIs, and scored 47 runs. Piketon’s Mark Blakeman is the SVC Coach of the Year.
The Redstreaks won their second consecutive SVC championship.
