Y. , died early Saturday morning after the vehicle hit her near Pierrepont Avenue in Potsdam, according to a release from the Potsdam Police Department. Per the release, officers responded to the area around 3:37 a.
m. Saturday for reports of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Smith was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
