Jordyn Brooks on Dolphins contract talks: 'Can go either way.'
The Miami Dolphins want to extend Jordyn Brooks. Brooks doesn't sound certain it will get done. 'Can go either way,' he said.
MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins want to extend the contract of middle linebacker Jordyn Brooks . How confident is Brooks that a deal will get done? "I don't know," Brooks said after Dolphins OTA practice on Tuesday, May 19.
"I mean, it can go either way honestly, but for me, I'm just controlling what I can control. Play football. I'm blessed to do it and so I'm going to just keep approaching it that way.
" It can go either way. Well, yeah, we suppose. But that certainly doesn't sound like they're close.
Brooks, 28, led the NFL in tackles last season, with 183. Coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan have basically said publicly that Brooks represents everything they want in a Miami Dolphin. Does that mean Miami is willing to go too far for a player at a non-premium position?
