Tennessee tennis signs Daniel Jovanovski with ATP Tour experience
Tennessee announces the signing of Daniel Jovanovski from Australia.
Tennessee men's tennis announced the signing of Daniel Jovanovski on Tuesday. He is from Australia and has a career-best No. 25 ITF junior ranking.
Jovanovski is currently ranked No. 32 in the world with a UTR of 12. 81.
"Daniel is one of the most engaging and genuine recruits I have ever dealt with," Tennessee associate head coach Matt Lucas said. "He is an exceptional athlete who possesses an all-court game that will only mature and get better once in a very structured environment in Knoxville. " The 6-foot-1 right-handed player also has experience on the ATP Tour.
"Daniel was an elite soccer player and only has focused solely on tennis for the last few years, which makes his achievements even more impressive," Lucas said. "He has high aspirations in the game, and we believe he has the skills and mindset to reach those lofty goals. Daniel comes from a great family, and we couldn't be more excited to sign one of the best junior players in the world.
