Kentucky has offered a top-10 guard in the 2027 class.

Rebilas-Imagn Images Following a busy weekend on the recruiting trail, Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have identified and added more prospects to their recruiting board from the 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes, extending several offers. That includes class of 2027 guard King Gibson, “Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Kentucky,” Gibson posted on social media. “Thank you (Kentucky Men’s Basketball).

” Gibson also received an offer from John Calipari and Arkansas on Monday, joining a long list that includes North Carolina, Michigan, and Houston, among others. To this point, Gibson has taken visits to Michigan and NC State, but is looking to visit Kentucky, UConn, and Arkansas in the near future. Michigan is perceived as the leader, already hosting him for one visit and also having an assistant on staff, Drew Williamson, who shares the same hometown as Gibson, Burlington, North Carolina.

Kentucky has been recruiting Gibson since last summer and has maintained consistent contact, despite staff movement. New assistant coach Mo Williams was courtside for several of Gibson’s games this past weekend at the Nike EYBL session in Memphis, and his NBA resume and guard development skills aid in Kentucky’s pursuit of Gibson.
