Ravens head coach Jesse Minter addressed Lamar Jackson’s OTA absence and said communication between the two has been excellent this offseason.

The Baltimore Ravens had several key veterans absent from Day 2 of voluntary OTA practices on Tuesday, but head coach Jesse Minter provided clarity regarding franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson was among Baltimore's notable veterans who were not present during the voluntary workout alongside players like Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, Rashod Bateman, and several defensive contributors. Following practice, Minter eased concerns surrounding Jackson's absence, emphasizing that communication between the two has remained strong throughout the offseason.

“Lamar will be back soon,” Minter said while adding that communication between the Ravens organization and the two-time NFL MVP has been “excellent” throughout the offseason program. The positive update from Minter signals that Jackson’s absence is not viewed as a concern internally as Baltimore prepares for a season carrying significant expectations. While Jackson was away from the facility, Baltimore still featured several cornerstone pieces on the practice field.

Veteran running back Derrick Henry participated alongside rookies and multiple veterans continuing offseason installation work. Wide receiver Zay Flowers was also in attendance only one day after graduating from Boston College with a communications degree. Jackson remains the centerpiece of Baltimore’s Super Bowl aspirations entering 2026.
