The game is a rematch of the Lions' divisional round playoff loss to the Commanders from the 2024 season, when the Lions won a franchise-record 15 games but lost their playoff opener. Previously, the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts announced their preseason schedules, including games against the Lions.
