Grimsby midfielder McEachran to leave
George McEachran started his career with Chelsea but never played a competitive game for the senior side [Shutterstock] Grimsby Town midfielder George McEachran is to leave the club at the end of his contract in June after failing to agree new terms. McEachran, 25, made 79 League Two appearances in his two seasons with the Mariners. Defender Tyrell Warren, 27, midfielder Zak Gilsenan, 23, and forwards Jason Dadi Svanthorsson, 26, Jude Soonsup-Bell, 22, have also been let go.
The club have offered a new deal to 23-year-old midfielder Evan Khourri and triggered the option on the contract of goalkeeper Sebastian Auton, 19. Fellow goalkeeper Christy Pym, 31, and defender Sam Lavelle, 29, have both been made available for transfer. Dave Artell's side finished seventh in League Two this season before losing to Salford in the play-offs.
