The NFL may face backlash if the Super Bowl is held in Nashville
Fans are calling for a boycott against the NFL if Nashville is chosen as the Super Bowl site.
It was announced early Monday morning that the Super Bowl will be held in Nashville, Tennessee. This will be the first time Nashville has hosted the Super Bowl. By then, the Tennessee Titans will have moved into their new stadium.
The owners are expected to vote and make it official during the spring meetings. But with all the political upheaval in the South recently, some are calling for the NFL to boycott Nashville over redistricting. Tennessee government officials just recently decided to take away the state’s only black district in Memphis.
