However, over the past 10 games, we've seen some problems start for this organization, going 4-6 and recently dropping a series to the Chicago White Sox over the weekend. It's been a tough stretch for the Cubs, and a lot of it is due to the injuries they're dealing with on both sides of the baseball. The Cubs have had guys who have stepped up in an impressive way, but they definitely need more if they're looking to win a World Series.
It'll be interesting to see what names become available closer to the trade deadline, though we have a good feeling about some potential ones who are already available. The St. Louis Cardinals , despite being 27-19, are still being viewed as a team that can move on from guys, and Dustin May would be the perfect arm to go after because he likely won't cost too much.
