The Buffalo Sabres were on top of the world two weeks ago when they beat the Bruins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

They celebrated their first playoff series win since 2007 accordingly. But the celebration did not last long. The Sabres were tasked with defeating the Montreal Canadiens for a chance to play in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Buffalo won Game 1, but was completely blown out in Games 2 and 3, allowing the Canadiens to outscore them 11-3. They found themselves trailing in Game 6, on the brink of elimination, but rallied from down 3-1 to win 8-3 and force a Game 7 back on their home ice. The city of Buffalo is known to have some of the most passionate fans alive, and they were out in full force on Monday night.
