Lots of high school games on Monday means lots of results Monday night

⚾Game of the Day East Providence 8, La Salle 7 Traditionally, the best fireworks in East Providence are at Pierce Field on the fourth of July. Monday, they were at the high school baseball field. The day started couldn’t have been worse for the East Providence baseball team, but the finish couldn’t have been any better.
The Townies spotted La Salle six runs, cut the deficit in the half by the sixth when the big bats showed up. Max Correiro hit a three-run home run to tie the game in the sixth and Aiden Martins walked it off with a two-out nuke in the seventh to give EP an 8-7 win over the Rams on Monday. The teams met last Tuesday, where La Salle came away with a 2-0 win, but by the end of the first inning more runs had been scored in the rematch.
The Rams came out swinging, getting four runs in the first and two in the second and were feeling good up 6-0. East Providence chipped away with three runs in the third and the teams exchanged runs in the fifth. Down 7-4 in the sixth, Martins and Jamison Sydney led off with walks as the Rams went to the bullpen and brought in D.
