High school girls golf: Lone Peak leads Herriman by 1 stroke after tight opening round of 6A state tournament

Following the opening round of the 6A state tournament on Monday at Davis Park Golf Course, Lone Peak leads herriman by just one stroke. Lone Peak shot a 317 on the opening day, with Herriman hot on its heels at 318, and Farmington certainly within striking distance at 324. Even Bingham is in the hunt in fourth place after a 329 on Monday.
The second round gets underway on Tuesday at 8:30 a. m. , with the last groups teeing off at 10:20.
The chase for 6A medalist is still up in the air, but Herriman sophomore Paige Anae is certainly in the most advantageous position after finishing with the only under-par round on Monday.
