The Packers had an open roster spot following the failed physical of tight end Luke Lachey and are up to a full 91-man offseason roster.

Moving forward, any additions will need to come with a corresponding roster move. Jones began his college career in 2019 with the Eastern Washington Eagles in the FCS, where he played for four seasons before transferring to the FBS in 2024. He missed his first season with the Commadores, as he was battling cancer at the time.

According to The Athletic , Jones was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma on the day before his scheduled move to Nashville. Returning to the field in 2025, Jones, a former high school track star, was able to make nine tackles in nine games of action. While he didn’t record an interception last year, he did have three interceptions in each of his final three years of his EWU career, including two returned for touchdowns in 2023.

Marlon Jones is a CB prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored a 8. 26 RAS out of a possible 10.
