From the injuries, poor quarterback play from Justin Fields and Brady Cook, their leading receiver last catching a pass in the first week of October, not much went right. But one of the worst statistics from a brutal season was the Jets becoming the first team in NFL history to go a full season without securing one interception. They had 17 games and couldn't get one pick.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting the Jets to snap this streak in 2026. Unfortunately for Jets fans, as ESPN's Rich Cimini predicted, they might have to wait until Week 5 to see their defense get its first interception. "The Jets' historic interception drought -- 17 straight games without a pick -- will last until Week 5 against the Browns ' Deshaun Watson (or Shedeur Sanders)," Cimini predicts.
This prediction from Cimini is, unfortunately, a very real possibility for Jets fans. Aaron Glenn's defense might not get their first interception until Week 5, thanks to its 2026 schedule's opening games. Jets' first interception of Aaron Glenn era might wait until Week 5 A Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, whether it's Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, or even Dillon Gabriel, would be a great time for an interception.
