Iowa State running back Salahdin Allah will miss the 2026 season with a season-ending injury.

Iowa State football running back Salahdin Allah is out for the 2026 season with a torn Achilles tendon, head coach Jimmy Rogers said May 18. The Oregon State transfer did not participate in the Cyclones' spring showcase in April. He was spotted on the sidelines with a knee scooter and a cast on his lower right leg.

Rogers dove further on the severity of Allah's injury during the first stop of Iowa State's Tailgate Tour in Des Moines on Monday. "Salah will be out for the season, tore his Achilles," Rogers said. "He'll be done until next spring and then we'll get him going again.

" Allah was one of two incoming transfer running backs to join the Cyclones this offseason, alongside Bowling Green's Cameron Pettaway. He appeared in 19 games over the last two seasons at Oregon State, recording a combined 74 carries for 329 yards and a touchdown. He saw a reduced role as a sophomore last season, getting just 19 carries for 71 yards across seven appearances.

He also caught three passes for 26 yards. Allah's season-ending injury is the latest blow to Iowa State's depth at running back. On May 4, redshirt freshman running back Jayden Jackson was reported to be no longer on the team after a standout showing at the spring showcase.
