Kimi Antonelli’s Nordschleife Ban Proves Mercedes Is Terrified of Another Kubica Tragedy
Max Verstappen finally got his wish. He raced the Nurburgring 24 Hours. Naturally, seeing the reigning champion take on the “Green Hell” sparked some ideas across the F1 paddock.
Nineteen-year-old Mercedes star Kimi Antonelli recently admitted he wanted a piece of the action. He even floated the idea of teaming up with Verstappen for an endurance run. Mercedes slammed that door shut immediately.
Speaking at the Nurburgring this past weekend, Mercedes deputy team principal Bradley Lord laid down the law. He confirmed Antonelli is strictly banned from racing the Nordschleife. The official team line is predictable.
