Michigan football climbs rankings after fifth commitment in six days
Michigan football's 2027 recruiting class jumps two spots in national rankings after landing five commitments in six days.
Michigan football went one awful, long day without getting a commitment, but that national nightmare has officially come to a close with 2027 Riverside (Calif. ) Notre Dame four-star cornerback Darius Johnson pledging to the class -- the fifth commitment in six days. As a result, the Wolverines are moving up the team rankings.
Now with 12 commitments in the class, Michigan has moved up two spots in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, having gone from 13th to 11th, leapfrogging Texas Tech . It still sits behind Oregon (10th), Ohio State , Penn State , Miami, UCLA , Florida , USC , Notre Dame , Texas A&M , and Oklahoma (1st). Rivals also has Michigan at 11th after being 12th in the previous ranking.
