Here's where Auburn baseball landed in this week's top-25 polls, following its series loss to Georgia over the weekend.
AUBURN — With a program record in tow, Auburn baseball came into the weekend winners of its past six series. Another would've pushed it to new heights, but that meant besting No. 4 Georgia, another one of the nation's hottest squads.
It ultimately went the way of the Bulldogs, who won the first two of three games at Plainsman Park over the weekend. That did some damage to Auburn 's top-25 standings, as the Tigers slid in four of the five major polls this week. However, Auburn is still a consensus top-10 team, sitting no lower than eighth nationally but no higher than six.
