One of their main targets this summer is expected to be two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will likely be available via trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Celtics already pursued him at the trade deadline and will likely do so again this offseason. During his appearance on Monday's episode of "The Pat McAfee Show," Charania named Boston as one of many teams that "had interest in Giannis at the deadline" along with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat and others.
