As Iowa basketball continues to scout the recruiting trail during the summer months, Hawkeyes head coach Ben McCollum and other assistant coaches were among a cluster of coaches in attendance at a Nike EYBL event in Memphis, Tenn. , involving 2027 top-25 prospect Cayden Daughtry. Daughtry, a 6-foot, 160-pound point guard from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

5 player in Florida, according to 247Sports . The Hawkeyes offered Daughtry on July 12, 2025, and are viewed as one of the top contenders for his commitment.
