Kansas baseball rises in latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll top 25
Kansas baseball won the Big 12 regular season title and is now looking ahead to postseason play. Where do the Jayhawks rank, though, in the top 25?
LAWRENCE — Kansas baseball regained some momentum this past week and has gained some ground in Monday’s update of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll top 25. The Jayhawks (39-16, 22-8 in Big 12) captured the Big 12 Conference regular season title with a series win on the road against BYU, and are now ranked No. 16 in the nation.
They were No. 17 in the nation this past week. Looking ahead, KU’s first game in the Big 12 tournament won’t be until the quarterfinals on Thursday against a to be determined opponent.
