According to Steelers Now’s Alan Saunders , the Steelers have signed former Pitt defensive back Tamon Lynum after a rookie minicamp tryout.
Lynum was spotted at the first official OTA practice wearing number 42. Lynum joins former Michigan offensive lineman Greg Crippen as the only undrafted free agents that the Steelers have signed to the active roster this offseason. Lynum spent the first four years of his college career with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, never appearing in more than six games until his junior season.
He then transferred to Pitt for the 2024 season and made an impact. The physical corner recorded 57 tackles, two interceptions, and eight passes defended during his two seasons with the Panthers. Third-round rookie Daylen Everette working with the outside cornerbacks.
