2027 Knoxville safety commits to Clemson over Tennessee football
A 2027 four-star safety from Knoxville commits to Clemson over the Vols.
2027 four-star safety Jarrell Chandler committed to Clemson over Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Miami on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect is an in-state target from Halls High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Rivals ranks him as the No.
29 safety in the class and No. 12 player in Tennessee. Tennessee offered Chandler a scholarship on April 2, 2025.
He has visited Tennessee five times and will officially visit the Vols on June 12. Louisville was the first school to offer Chandler a scholarship on Sept. 7, 2024.
Other schools to offer him scholarships include Kentucky, Western Kentucky, SMU, Arkansas, Tulane, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Wisconsin , Missouri, North Carolina , Maryland, Virginia Tech, Georgia , Colorado , Florida State, Michigan , Florida , Memphis and Alabama . Tennessee has seven commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace , offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo , defensive lineman Kadin Fife , quarterback Derrick Baker , athlete Jaden Butler , wide receiver KeSean Bowman and defensive back Carter Jamison .
