5 defending Jennerstown Speedway champs earn Week 2 wins

Defending 2025 champs stole the show at Jennerstown Speedway in Week 2 of racing action.

JENNERSTOWN — It was Armed Forces Night at Jennerstown Speedway , Saturday, May 16. A special pre-race ceremony was held before six-division racing ensued. Defending track champs found victory lane in 5 of 6 feature races.

Integrity Coatings Charger Division defending champion Ken Burkholder earned his first win of 2026. Brian Ready led the first eight laps of the 15-lap, 9-car feature. However, a single-car spin brought out the caution with seven to go.

On the restart, Burkholder raced past Ready for the top spot, while Carley Awtey took over second. Awtey, the Week 1 winner, gave Burkholder everything he could handle down the stretch, but ran out of time to make a pass and finished second. Ready grabbed third.

Opening Night triumphs 3 Somerset County drivers earn Opening Night wins at Jennerstown Casey Fleegle, the defending Ron's Collision Center Street Stock champ, collected his first victory of the season in the 20-lap, 8-car feature. The Friedens driver led every lap of the race. Richard Meehleib Jr.
