On Saturday during the UFC Vegas 117 broadcast, McGregor’s return fight was announced as the main event for UFC 329 where he’ll face Max Holloway in a rematch after they first met back in 2013.

The event takes place on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the culmination of International Fight Week 2026. McGregor is returning after a five year long layoff that started when he suffered a broken leg in his trilogy against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. The Irish superstar was scheduled to return back in 2024 in a fight against Michael Chandler but McGregor suffered a broken toe and he dropped off the event just weeks before the bout was set to take place.

Following that injury, McGregor was long rumored to return but nothing was ever finalized and it appeared for a time that he may have already fought for the last time. July 11 Return of the MAX. pic.
