Mississippi State baseball is heading into its first SEC Tournament under first-year coach Brian O'Connor.
Mississippi State baseball is the No. 8 seed in the SEC Tournament after losing to Texas A&M in the final game of the regular season. The Bulldogs (39-16, 16-14 SEC) will get a bye in the first round.
MSU will face the winner of a March 19 game between No. 9 seed Ole Miss (36-20, 15-15) and No. 16 seed Missouri (23-29, 6-23).
The Bulldogs will play in the second round on May 20 (9:30 a. m. SEC Network).
All games are at Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama. This will be the first SEC Tournament for new Mississippi State coach Brian O'Connor. Vanderbilt is the reigning champion of the tournament.
