4-star linebacker AJ Randle announces commitment date

Four-star linebacker recruit AJ Randle will announce his commitment on May 21, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett . The 6-foot-3, 215 pound linebacker is a highly coveted recruit with elite speed and athleticism and Randle will be a big addition for whatever 2027 recruiting class he ends up joining. He's ranked as a top-100 prospect in his recruiting class.

Randle will chose among Miami, South Carolina, Florida, NC State, Ohio State and Georgia. Coach Kirby Smart and his staff have remained extremely active in their pursuit of the talented linebacker, and Randle is set to take an official visit to Athens on June 19. Randle will also visit Miami (June 5) and Ohio State (June 12), and the rising star appears ready to announce his decision late next week.

Randle has been a focal point of the Garner High School Trojans’ defense across the past three seasons in Garner, North Carolina. The linebacker will continue to shine during his senior campaign, and Randle is ranked as the No. 6 linebacker in the nation.

He is listed as the No. 95 overall player and the No. 5 player in North Carolina, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings .
