Golfer and Cowboys fan Scottie Scheffler gets heckled by Eagles fans

Yahoo Sports

The No. 1 golfer in the world, and fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Scottie Scheffler, got heckled by Philadelphia Eagles fans at the PGA Championship.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most popular teams in professional sports, and being as such, they tend to have a lot of celebrity fans. One of those who roots for the Cowboys is Scottie Scheffler, currently ranked as the No. 1 golfer in the world.

Part of being a fan of America’s Team is having thick skin; Cowboys haters love to poke fun at the team and those who are emotionally invested in it. It’s even harder to escape being heckled when you’re a Cowboys fan in Pennsylvania, where that hatred runs even deeper for Philadelphia Eagles fanatics. Unfortunately for Scheffler, those two things collided at the PGA Championship , which is being played at Aronimink Golf Club, in Newton Square, Pennsylvania this week.

During his first round of play, Eagles fans in the crowd didn’t miss their chance at heckling Scheffler. Philly fans are one of a kind, heckling Scottie Scheffler for being a Cowboys fan. (via Frank_Mcfillin3) pic.
