At this time last season, Karl was a prospect trying to find a way to break through in Bayern Munich’s academy system, while Bischof was toiling away on an underachieving Hoffenheim squad. Today, they were officially crowned champions and received their medals: Tom Bischof & Lennart Karl 🏆 pic. twitter.

Karl, who filled in for Michael Olise at right wing, was an absolute terror, as he brutalized the left side of the Billy Goats’ defense. On the day, Karl finished with one credited assist (and really should have had another, except it skimmed Joshua Kimmich’s head).
As for Bischof, the former Hoffenheim star played out of position at left-back once again, but took advantage of his opportunity when he put home a cutback cross from Karl in the 22nd minute to make it 3-1. Both players made progress this season and both are expected to be integral figures for next season. Clearly, Bayern Munich is in good shape for the future.
