Brewers' Aaron Ashby makes wild MLB history after eighth win
This is a ridiculous record for this Brewers lefty to break.

The Milwaukee Brewers are one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season, as they've gotten a lot out of their offense and pitching staff that can't compare cost-wise to some of the top teams in baseball.
One of their best players this season has been reliever Aaron Ashby. The veteran lefty has been incredibly impressive, posting a 2. 17 ERA in 21 games so far in 2026.
But, as OptaSTATS shared on Twitter/x , there's some wild MLB history that Ashby just set that only makes his production this year look all the more impressive. Aaron Ashby makes ridiculous eight-win MLB history "After Friday night, the Brewers' Aaron Ashby now has 8 wins this year - all in relief. No one else in MLB has more than 6 wins," OptaSTATS shared.
"It's the first time in the modern era a pitcher had at least 2 more relief wins than any other MLB pitcher had total wins at the end of any given day. " While this statistic doesn't encompass all of MLB history, with the modern era beginning in 1900, Ashby's eight-win record is still one not seen in at least 126 years. Despite starting just one game, Ashby has recorded eight wins for the Brewers this season, all of which have come out of the bullpen.
