If not for one unfortunate pitch in the first inning, Kelly would not only have pitched his first ever complete game, but he would have completed the first Maddux in the league since Nathan Eovaldi did it in April of last season.
Instead, that one pitch left the yard and he ended up with 100 pitches to his name.
