Here's who'll be on the call for the much-anticipated Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight.
Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are making their much-anticipated returns tonight for a fight streaming worldwide on Netflix. It's been nine years since Rousey last fought and 17 for Carano. Their absence has clearly made fans' hearts grow fonder, as apparently they secured a record-breaking purse .
All 22 fighters on the card tonight will walk away with at least $40,000, Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions announced. While it's been a wild journey for both, Carano recently got into the details of the physical transformation she underwent for the fight. Carano, 44, says she dropped 100 pounds from September 2024 to now, and she thanked Rousey for the push to get into fight shape.
"I was pre-diabetic, had trouble simply walking in September 2024 and have been on the path to recovery to turn myself back into an athlete since then," Carano wrote on Instagram . "It was hard, SO damn hard.. there was so much to learn, too much to unpack here, ups, downs, plateaus, things I learned late I wish I learned earlier, trial by error but I did it.
