Inter midfielder Petar Sucic hopes their fans will fill the streets of Milan when the Nerazzurri celebrate lifting the Scudetto trophy after their final home game against relegated Hellas Verona on Sunday. Cristian Chivu has delivered a domestic double in his first season after the Serie A champions beat Lazio on Wednesday to win the Coppa Italia. Following Sunday’s match at San Siro, Inter will be presented with a 21st Scudetto ahead of an open-top bus parade through the streets of Milan.

The Italian champions will head from the stadium on towards the finish at Piazza del Duomo, where the team will appear from a terrace, with thousands expected to line the route, turning the city black and blue. “I will take this opportunity to send a message to fans,” Sucic said at a press conference following Inter’s Coppa Italia victory. “Amazing numbers in the stadiums and in the city.

We need all people in Milan to be Nerazzurri. “I saw how important it is for the people in Milan and the fans. They stay with us and support us.

“I am glad to play with this amazing club. It’s a special feeling, in my first year here. I am so happy.

” Croatian Sucic, signed form Dinamo Zagreb last summer, added: “We started the new season. The coach helps us a lot. You can talk about private life with him, he is a good person.
