Report: Guard Skyy Clark to 'focus' on professional basketball

Skyy Clark appealed for an extra season of NCAA eligibility earlier this year but now the guard is focused on professional opportunities.

It might be time to stop holding your breath for a Skyy Clark return to the UCLA Bruins . Aaron Heisen of the So Cal News Group reported on Friday that Clark is turning his focus towards his professional basketball career. โ€œSkyy Clark is "focusing" on his professional basketball career, a source close to Clark,โ€ Heisen reported.

โ€œClark had filed for a 5th year of eligibility and entered the transfer portal, but has now turned his attention elsewhere. This means UCLA lost ZERO scholarship players to the portal. โ€ Clark had appealed for an additional season of eligibility , with no decision on that appeal ever becoming public.

Clark played just 13 games in his freshman season with Illinois while dealing with personal issues. After the season at Illinois, and another at Louisville, Clark spent his final two college seasons with the Bruins under Mick Cronin. Clark started in 57 of his 60 games with UCLA, putting up 11.

5 points per game this past season. Clark helped stretch opposing defenses, shooting a career-best 42. 7% from three on 4.
