Thomas is inside the top 10 after the first two days at Aronimink. The two-time winner of the PGA Championship has posted two rounds of 69 to leave himself on two under par, level with the likes of Cameron Young and Scottie Scheffler.
The American is arguably one of the most intriguing players on the PGA Tour. He has a remarkable amount of talent, but the wins have largely dried up in recent years. Justin Thomas admits he’s surprised by the scoring at the PGA Championship Thomas has won once since lifting the Wanamaker Trophy for a second time back in 2022.
He has also registered just one top 10 in the majors since the start of the 2023 season. After missing much of the first part of the season with injury, his results have been mixed upon his return. He was tied for 77th as he defended his RBC Heritage title last month.

But at the same time, I don’t think anybody thought it was going to be like this, be this cold and this windy,” he said. “This wind yesterday and today, it honestly reminds me a little of like Southern Hills, I mean, the wind that we had the first two days there. I can’t remember even Open Championships of that consistent, like strong, brutal wind for two days.
