The coach was asked about Barça’s plans to sign a new striker at a press conference on Saturday and recognized it won’t be easy to find a player as good as Lewandowski, but said a “revamp” of the attack is needed as Barça look to next year. “It won’t be easy to find someone of Robert’s caliber on the market; he’s a player capable of scoring between 25 and 30 goals.
I’ve said it many times. We’re going to miss him; that’s life. We need to revamp our attack.
He’s been a great role model for the younger players, seeing him work so hard, always there for us in the tough times. “I don’t think there are any more [farewells], but I don’t think so. Although anything is possible.
” Flick’s last quote indicates that we likely won’t see any other departures of big names despite the rumors about the likes of Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde, so the focus seems to be to reinforce the attack after Lewy’s exit and maybe add someone else to fortify the defense for next season.
