Cardiff Devils have signed the son of club legend Vezio Sacratini for the 2026-27 campaign. Jake Scratini, 24, was born in the Welsh city while his father was playing for Devils for eight seasons from 1996-97 and is classified as a British player by governing body Ice Hockey UK. The right winger will wear jersey, 28, the one his father donned during his time with Devils having starred for SUNY-Plattsburgh in the United States' amateur National Collegiate Athletic Association third tier.
Devils boss Paul Thompson said: "Jake comes off two good offensive years in college, leading his team in goals and points last season. "We have been actively looking to enhance our already talented British player pool and we are delighted to have secured Jake's services. "Being a Cardiff boy, born right here in Wales, we look forward to Jake putting on that jersey that his father, Vezio, starred in and wore many times for the Devils.
