Cadillac Formula One driver Valtteri Bottas had his company car stolen by thieves from outside his accommodation ahead of the Miami race this month, he told the "What's next? " podcast. The Finn was in the shower and then found himself suddenly without a car.
The keys were in the house, the car was locked but the vehicle still disappeared. His team reacted quickly and sent him a replacement vehicle, also a Cadillac Escalade. He then discovered that his paddock pass for Miami was in the stolen car, Bottas added.
F1 management let him in after a call. Police opened an investigation and later found Bottas' stolen car abandoned. It is believed the thieves used it as a getaway car in another crime.
