Four Central Texas high school baseball teams advanced to the regional finals of the UIL playoffs with series wins Friday.

Class 6A Division II Dripping Springs 9, La Joya 7: Jake Pardue went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Cade Sanders finished 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs driven in and Sam Branyon, Jason Steele, Cruz McBride, Bobby Wilkinson and Nixon Badilla all had an RBI as the Tigers completed the series sweep. C. Veterans Memorial 0: Jack Doss threw a one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and Joe Bury belted a three-run homer to lead the Raiders in the series-deciding Game 3. Mason Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Liam Mongold finished 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored in other notable offense for Rouse.
Gonzalez also had three hits in Game 2 earlier in the day, which the Raiders lost 5-2. Other scores: Lake Creek 1, Hendrickson 0 Class 5A Division II Cedar Park 2, Harlingen South 1: Dominic Naylor struck out eight in 5 ⅔ innings, Kayaan Kotharia tossed 1 ⅓ innings of scoreless relief and both Cooper Camacho and Brandon Washburn had two hits to lead the Timberwolves. Cedar Park scored both of its runs in the fourth on Naylor’s walk, an error, Evan Daly’s sacrifice bunt and Mack Galindo’s sacrifice fly.
