Manchester City are reportedly open to offers for an Egyptian international with Barcelona interested Unfortunately for Omar Marmoush, he seems to be designated as a backup to Erling Haaland in the Manchester City squad. It seems like Pep Guardiola believes that Marmoush’s best role in his team is playing up front rather than on a wing or in a role alongside, or just behind, Erling Haaland. Due to this, a knee injury, and Egypt’s AFCON campaign, Marmoush has made 34 appearances in all competitions for City, scoring 8 goals and adding 3 assists.

There is no doubt that Marmoush has the game to lead the line for a top team in Europe. With Erling Haaland in his way, that opportunity likely will not come at Manchester City. It has now been reported that Manchester City are open to selling Marmoush this summer, but only for the right price.

La Liga champions Barcelona are also reportedly interested in signing Marmoush this summer, but whether or not they can match Manchester City’s asking price remains to be seen. Manchester City are reportedly willing to sell Omar Marmoush for the right price with Barcelona interested. Mark Brus has reported via his exclusive Daily Briefing column (subscription required) that Manchester City are open to selling Marmoush this summer if the right offer arrives for the Egyptian international.

Furthermore, Brus reports that City have slapped a price tag of between €60-65 million on Marmoush. It is also reported by Brus that Marmoush is not actively seeking to leave City this summer. However, the Egyptian international is eager to play more regularly.

Mark Brus further reports that Barcelona has an interest in signing Marmoush. With prolific striker Robert Lewandowski set to leave Barcelona, they do have a hole in their squad to fill. However, Barcelona is waiting to see if Marmoush fancies a summer move before making their move.
