Hope men's lacrosse sees unprecedented NCAA run end in quarterfinals with first loss

The Hope College lacrosse team put together the best season in the history of the program and the MIAA conference.

The sensational undefeated run for the Hope College men's lacrosse team came to an end with a 20-7 loss to No. 2 Bowdoin College in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals on Friday, May 15. It was the first and only loss of the year for the 20-1 Flying Dutchmen and the furthest postseason run in program and MIAA history.

Bowdoin jumped out to a 6-2 lead after the first quarter, then a 4-0 advantage in the second gave the Polar Bears a 10-2 lead at halftime and the Flying Dutchmen couldn't get any closer.
